The Agency of Information and Mass Communications under the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a briefing on the implementation of the “Priorities for ensuring the rule of law and further reform of the judicial system.”

The Ministry of Justice has developed 10 draft laws on the implementation of the program, of which 4 have been adopted to date (3 Presidential Decrees and 1 Cabinet Resolution). In particular, in accordance with the Presidential Decree PF-5987, adopted on April 29 this year, law faculties were established in Samarkand, Namangan and Termez state universities, and admission was carried out from the current academic year. In order to improve the system of training qualified lawyers, the number of non-specialty subjects in legal education institutions is being reduced, and the educational process is being organized using a credit-module system.
